Leather Care
- Avoid storing your leather cover in hot, dry areas (such as in your car window) or in cold, damp places.
- Avoid contact with oils and solvents.
- Do not dry clean.
- When cleaning: never soak it in water or apply water directly to it. Instead, use glycerin soap on a clean sponge to wipe the leather. Rinse the sponge often in lukewarm water. Change your rinse water frequently.
- We recommend that you do not oil the leather.
Some time ago Awake! magazine reported that the best leather treatment is natural hand oil. Where can you buy this? You don't have to, you produce it naturally! Be sure to use your Bible and publications on a regular basis and this will prevent them from drying out and cracking.
Please note: Natural markings such as variations in grain, wrinkles, cleanly healed scars, insect bites, or patterns of original hair follicles document the animal’s life and testify to the leather’s authenticity.
